What is your roll in the company?

I am the CEO/Website Designer/SEO Guru/Tea Boy. I am the buck stops here man at the top. If it all works then I am happy as we have happy clients if it doesn’t work then we need to find out why and what we can do to make it work to keep theclients happy.

Why the Wedding Industry?

Being part of the Wedding Industry is amazing and I have to say one that I never thought I would have a great involvement with being from a very technical background but it is great fun. The best thing about it is you not only get to work with amazing companies that produce incredible services and products but the people themselves are great to work with. An industry built around Love what otherindustry could be as fun as that?

What is the best part of designing a website?

I love the process of taking someone from their vision of what they want their site to be and delivering something that not only looks good to them but, belongs to the visitor of the site. Then seeing their reactions when they see their sites is amazing!

How long have you been designing websites?

Longer than I care to remember! Hannah pointed out to me the other day that she was in junior school when I designed my first ever website. I am however proud to say that even though it was ugly and lacking in content that the website I designed is still there to this day! (It is still really ugly too)

What would you say is the most important thing on a website?

Structure! It helps people know where they are on the site without needing to go and find it by hunting for it. After that it has to be good photography. Without stunning images in order to make your work, product or the service that you offer really stand out.

Anything on Websites that you don’t like?

Two things……Music and Flash! Nothing worse than being sat in front of your computer at 2am with a sleeping household and you open a website that bursts into song. And Flash well if I invited you to come and talk to my company and kept you waiting while I got ready in front of you I am sure that you would be upset, so why should I wait for a website to load in front of me….that and it doesn’t show in Google preview so you could be losing clients before they even get to you.

A few words about yourself?

I have been working in the IT industry for over 20 years and at least 14 of them I have been working with websites in one shape or another. Outside of the office (when they take my chain off) I have a dog Frances who takes up a great deal of my time and a cat called Zorro whospends most of his time sleeping on my desk. I am an avid Chelsea fan and have been since I was a small boy. Aside from that I love to travel when I have the chance and a small trivial fact is that I have been to Rome 8 times but never been outside of the airport! Plan to change that this year!
